Tips To Finish Triangle Chokes Better If You're a Big Person in BJJ

Today’s BJJ question is about using the triangle choke as a bigger person. Comes from our friend who says he’s a big guy and needs help finishing the triangle choke during rolling. So in this video I share some useful ideas on finishing the submission in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.

The 1st one is that you DON’T have to have a full deep lock behind the knee with the triangle position. In fact, if you use your hamstring to finish the submission like I show in the video you’ll be able to finish it with a more shallow lock.

After that I show some ideas on setting up angles to finish and using the triangle choke not just as a submission but as a position that launch other attacks.

Hope the video is useful to you if you’re a bigger person trying to finish this submission.
