?Throwback to the ADCC 2000 Trials – One of the greatest coaches of all-time, Marc Laimon, with a wristlock off a triangle attempt on Ricardo Pires, former jiu-jitsu coach of Frank Mir. Marc was in the Gracie Academy instructor certification program in 1996 & had a falling out with Rorion & went on his own path as a blue belt. I used to hang out with him quite a bit when he was teaching at Beverly Hills Jiu-jitsu Club in 1997-98. He was always studying the latest BJJ instructionals & competition footage back when you had to buy everything on VHS, lol! He influenced me to do the same. I’ve probably seen 80% of the instructionals that were released before 2009. Now there’s just too many!!! Marc’s Cobra Kai team dominated the no gi grappling scene from 2004 – 2006. Marc was also Johny Hendricks’ head MMA coach for Team Takedown on his UFC Welterweight title run. Things started going downhill for Hendricks when he left Team Takedown. Marc is currently teaching BJJ out of @novagyms in Wisconsin. Regrann from @grapplingweekly1 @davidrayhannah
