This month our #SWAT team ran officers and detectives through our active shooter training and it was fantastic as usual. It really complimented the vehicle CQB training that my friend and coworker @buliwyf_actual organized for us earlier this year. Putting together all of the pieces like administering first aide, using our IFAK pouches once the scene is safe, and coordinating a response with our fire department takes an extraordinary amount of planning and time. I think it is important for our community to see at least a small portion of what we do to prepare for situations that we hope will never happen. At a time where cities are reducing police budgets which reduce or eliminate how much training officers receive, I am grateful that our #community supports us in our efforts to keep people safe. 🙏🏽🇺🇸🤙🏽 #police
