The latest lapel submission I came up with it puts pressure on the arm similar to a extended kimura. This is probably one of the funkiest submissions to ever exist and that’s why I love it. It excels against people trying to disengage and run away and that’s what makes it great. The more scared of the lapel position they are, the more this submission punishes their unwillingness to learn and adapt to this style. My training partner here is none of those things and did a great job helping me train and practice new things? Something that frustrates me is the 1000s of instagram videos of people demonstrating a move that they never even do in training. Watch out for those, you could be drilling and wasting time on a move that doesn’t even work and was just for that Instagram wow factor. Those videos just lower the over all quality of everyone’s Jiujitsu. They are poisoning our Jiujitsu supply.
