This is by far my favorite submission set up!
Once you get to the ending position you should be golden. It should be nearly impossible to get out if you can lock up that triangle from the top.
After it’s locked in take your time and single out the arm. Here is the best part! If they flip you over it makes the choke worse 😉
What’s up everyone! Welcome back to the channel. I hope everyone’s having an amazing day. So I got asked this question on Facebook. He says “Chad we have a new guy that I’m really scared to roll with because he moves in weird ways and doesn’t really have the technique yet. Any tips?
Here is a few ways I roll with a spaz. First I tell them “hey man calm down a bit” if they don’t I smash them than tell them again. If they continue I smash them harder. If this still continues and you have talked to them twice I just won’t roll with that person anymore. It’s not being scared it’s being smart.
For the most part someone new may not even know they are going crazy. So it’s important to let them know before dragging their skull across the mat.

This is a very easy technique to execute and works amazingly well.
When I was growing up I had an instructor named Colin cannon. He would make me so mad with this technique because it seemed impossible to take mount on him.
This was before I learned I didn’t have to go to mount every time haha but you would see him doing it over and over if he got stuck in side control.
He would bait you to take the mount because he knew he could hit this technique or the foot slide when you tried.
It’s fairly simple to do once you get the hang of it. You want to stick to your regular escapes but if your stuck and just can’t move try tricking them to take another position. Most people will bite.
You just have to be quick about turning back into them and blocking that hip to get your leg through it takes some timing than it becomes gold. Hope this helps you out!

This has been a go to escape of mine for years it works so well from scarf hold or this regular side control. It’s really easy to hit if you can creat the space using your frame.
I learned to do this as a kid to get bigger opponents off of me as I didn’t have enough strength to overpower them by hip escaping and bridging. So being flexible and long I could at least pull this technique off.
Some will call it a dick move I would only call it that if you squeeze the head. It is a totally legit escape that works great if you are flexible and linky

These bjj side control escapes have helped me out many times. I actually got hit with this technique when I was a blue belt and adopted it in my game. The key is just getting enough movement to make them post their hand out. After that you are free to move again.
If they do not post their hand out it should be fairly easy to finish the first arm roll escape. Again the key is momentum so I have to follow through without stopping. Otherwise this Escape will be extremely hard and will become a muscle move rather than actual technique.
By locking out the arm when you do the big wave you are stopping them from just squeezing you back down to the mat so be sure to really drill this detail in your head if you plan on using it!
