The rolling kimura is a surprising way to pass guard that is increasingly being used at the higher levels of the sport. Here’s Elliott Bayev showing you it’s easier than it looks! This is a beakdown of the insane no gi Body Lock Pass performed by Diego “Pato” Oliveira against Damien Anderson, from last weekend’s Who’s Number One No Gi Tournament.
Take notice of how Diego transitions to the Body Lock Pass after a failed knee slice pass attempt, and of the intricacies of the leg pummeling in order to clear Damien’s butterfly and shin on shin hooks. Thing of beauty.

How to pass the guard using pressure passing in no gi when you don’t have cloth to hold onto. More at https://www.grapplearts.com/pressure
This is a pass I learned very early on and has been very effective for me.
The traditional stack pass can be difficult no gi because of the lack of friction. It can be hard when fighting the legs pushing you away or securing a shoulder grip, especially if the opponent is sweaty and slippery.
In this pass, the goal is to connect to his lower back so that his legs can’t push into me.
Pinning the knee also makes it very difficult for the opponent to backroll out of the pass.
