There is nothing more aggravating than an opponent that persistently hangs on your head. Initially, it might seem like a small nuisance. However, over time, it wears you down by getting your neck tired, and you will soon find that you are getting snapped to the floor or getting your neck snatched up.

This is why your wrestling coach would have told you to never let someone hang out on your head. But rather than just simply pummeling back in, we can use it to our advantage to setup a nice counter shot.

I recently got asked about my thoughts on sub-only BJJ matches with no time limit. So, in this video I’ll share my thoughts on sub-only no time limit grappling matches and why I personally don’t like them from a spectator or competitor’s point of view.

The question stems from the recent WNO finale where there was a 2 hour long match.

In the video, I’ll make some generalizations with things like the ADCC and ADCC trials. But keep in mind it’s more of noticing a trend, not every single match.
