REAPING the KNEE is illegal in a lot of BJJ tournaments.
WHY? Resisting it & trying to not get swept can lead to ACL tears.
Our very own man behind the camera experienced this a few years back.
BMAC has some tips to AVOID getting your knee blown out with leg locks.

Something that I’ve been told many times now by BJJ students or instructors is that you should always be on what are called “Live Toes.”
Anytime I hear someone say “always” or “never” in BJJ, it tells me that they haven’t thought very deeply about what they’re doing and why.
I know why they’re told this – it’s because so much of modern BJJ is based on constant movement and being on your toes allows you to transition to a faster movement position but at the cost of control.
Here, I discuss the various foot positions and what the Pros and Cons of each are.
If you like my particular focus and style of teaching, you can get this kind of instruction almost daily for only $10/Month.
