First off thanks to Steven and Preston for coming out! They are both in the army and came by to visit the gym and a friend in town(Tony) Rob told them they could fill his spot for the day. Moral of story in the beginning never buy a belt earn that Sh*t. One thing I hate seeing the most is this or even an instructor promoting because of money. Enjoy the journey don’t be rushed with promotions?

This question was sent to me on Instagram. Here is the simple solution to the higher belts hitting you with this choke. On thing to note as well is the tighter your arm are in the less likely they will be to go for this choke. Always try and fighting to get out of the turtle.

But I have done this escape plenty of times and the way I actually found this out was in a competition. I was really tired did a lazy shot and the guy tried this choke on me. I grabbed the elbow and walked around like I was doing a double leg takedown.
