At least once a month I try to complete a few #HIIT rounds in full uniform (usually on my Friday towards the end of the shift since I have to wash everything afterwards anyway). I want to experience how the extra weight affects my ability to move. Torso flexion is impeded a lot, and torso rotation to deliver strikes is harder too. better to know in training that to find out when it’s real. 1) weighted sideways #shrimping 2) #jiujitsu transitions on the motion master 3) #triangles w/ the gi 4) #sledgehammer 5) low #kicks 6) #agilityladder. Like many of us, Kiley has had her share of ups and downs in life, and her mom was looking for a positive active/community to help and support her. We connected her to @warriorstrengthtrainer and his gym and she completed her first week of jiu-jitsu last week. I got a chance to hold mitts for @ccarlos.f2 and @facundo_salinas_ at @ring_sports_united. They were very patient with me and taught me a simple combination. Both of them are members of the non-profit Eastside Pugs boxing program, which allows youth who may otherwise not be able to afford the opportunity to receive world class training in the sweet science.
