Today’s video is a short one about a word that people call Jiu-jitsu that makes me cringe.

The other day on social media I posted about how I hate it when people call Jiu-jitsu “jits” or “jitz” and I got several questions as to why that is. Well in the video I’ll explain why.

And I’m curious as to whether or not you dislike the word like I do or if you use it yourself. This isn’t a wrong or right thing. Just is. But I’m curious. So, watch the video and share your thoughts in the comments.

One of the biggest challenges when starting on the feet in jiu-jitsu is dealing with an opponent’s stiff arms that they use to keep you from executing various takedowns. However, there are many methods that allow us to take advantage of such a situation.
