After close to 3 months of dealing with a finger injury (Mallet Finger), I returned to training with a few modifications.
I was still reluctant to use my hand as much as usual during training and was mindful about using the hand to grip as well as placement of my hand/fingers to keep the fingers protected. I also used a small splint on the finger covered by a neoprene finger sleeve which is made by “Luta Gear” called “Gripp Tap” for support.
I used the neoprene sleeve to protect my finger, to keep the splint in place, and also to ensure that the splint was covered during training to help protect my training partners.
