This video I go over in my opinion the single most effective guard passing system in jiu jitsu. Its so easy to force your opponent to this position, once you get to the strong inside leg position your opponent has only a few options. Most common response from your opponent will be to control your ankle and play the de la riva guard. Once you learn the basics of the normal and reverse leg drag, the knee cut and folding pass, and the de la riva smah, its very difficult for your opponent to defend. The Side Smash Pass is one of the most demoralizing guard passes in BJJ. It not only puts your opponent in a horrible and uncomfortable position, but also leads straight to the mount control (dope mount).
In this video I cover some of the most common entries into the Side Smash Pass, how to prevent leg lock counters, details to flatten your opponent out, and how to transition to mount or side control.
