10 BJJ Turtle Attacks With Guard Pass ( Back Takes And Crucifix )
Chewjitsu.net
10 BJJ Turtle Attacks starting with a guard pass and moving into back takes, crucifix position and establishing side control if you’re unsure about going for the back.
Along with 10 different options from the turtle position I included a guard pass to get there. This is important because the turtle position in BJJ is a moving, transitional position. Typically someone goes to turtle because someone is passing. From there the person is almost always trying to defend and then move away.
So when you drill the techniques. Get comfortable with them and then combine them all together. You can pick different options and even let your partner set up the queues for you. For instance if they want you to attack the far side hook then they will keep rolling. If they are want you to take the near side hook then they will leave an opening for you to secure it.
This type of drilling is similar to boxers with their pads and does a heck of job with developing good reaction and the ability to think as you’re moving.
All but 3 of the BJJ techniques and movements in this video are centered around the turtle position. It can be a really frustrating position to take advantage of if your opponent moves fast to re guard or isn’t giving space to get the hooks in for back mount.
In the video I’ve tried to give you multiple examples of options you have to counter the opponents defenses or movements.
As always these are just an example and you’l have to adjust them to your style and your body, and as always consult your instructor for tips with the movements as well.

Drills That Will Help You Learn How to Invert and Granby
I taught myself how to granby as a white belt, and these are the progressions I used to accomplish that feat. It’s important to understand though, that I weighed around 280 at that time, and it was still possible.

Never Get Stuck in Smash Half Guard Again
This is a highly effective system for dealing with smash half guard. Just because you lost the underhook, it doesn’t mean that it’s the end of the world. Show em that you’re still dangerous.
I learned most of it from Vince Quitigua’s Lost Secrets of the Half Guard instructional waaay back, and I still use it in my game even now.
But that’s not all.
