Lapel Lasso can be one most annoying and tricky guards to pass. But why would you spend all this time and effort trying to work out of the position when you could just step on your opponent and pass like butter?

The trick is to loosen the hold before you get wrapped up too tight in the lasso. By stomping on the far leg you’re giving yourself the opportunity to open up the guard and start working your passing.
