Here is a simple gi hack to keep your pants on! (And how I tie my belt)
Sometimes it’s good to have the break in between to tie your gi up. But in tournaments sometimes it can be a hassle if you are winning and have to stop to tie your pants.

When deciding what I think are the most important escapes that people should learn early on in their training, I considered things positionally. The big 4 positions you’ll spend the most time in are mount, side control, guard and back mount. Being on the losing end of these sucks. Learning how to escape these positions is one of the most useful ways to spend your training time.
In this video, I show what I consider to be the most useful and helpful escapes from these positions.
• Upa Escape from Mount
• Elbow Escape from Mount
• Guard Replacement from Side Control
• Back Mount Escape
• Knee Cut Guard Pass

The head and arm choke, or arm triangle, is one of the most versatile tools to have in your grappling arsenal. This submission is high-percentage and can be set up from many positions in many different ways. This video outlines some of the most useful places and times to use it.
Jared Jessup and I, both 2nd degree black belts, collaborate on this video to show some of our favorite, and what we believe to be the most helpful, setups of this choke.

That ankle pop looks painful! So we designed a rehab program that works to fix those injuries and survive those leg lockers. Ankle sprains are a really common injury, especially when footlocks & ankle locks start getting involved. Of course there are many other ways to sprain an ankle on and off the mats. What we have for you is a way to recover from it!
