This modified Peruvian Necktie is sneaky and quick. I typically refer to it as the Gerbi choke, because Yarden Gerbi is the master of it.
This is the first in a series I filmed with my good friends JD Caputo and Coty Kellison, looking at offensive use of the clothing for chokes in both a training environment and street environment. There is a lot of potential for this, and here is one of my favorites with the jacket, referred to as the Gerbi choke. It is so named after an Israeli Judoka who has hit this multiple times at the highest levels of competition. Please let me know what you think, like and share.
