Today’s video is part 2 of the BJJ wrist lock submission I showed last week. The wrist lock was a simple one you can setup whenever someone leaves their hands in a particular position on your shoulder. Well today I’ll show you a 3 inch adjustment to prevent the wrist lock and potentially improve your frame for Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.
It’s simple. By changing the position of our hand and arm by just a couple of inches we can get our wrist out of the danger zone (kenny loggins style) and at the same time have a stronger push with our frame. If you’ve ever been stuck in side control bottom and felt like your frame lacked power than this may help.
The closer to the elbow you push with the better as it will be using your “bones” to push instead of your tricep. You’ll see what I mean in the video.
Anyway, I hope the video helps you with your BJJ training or rolling.
