Side control escape for taller/flexible grapplers

This has been a go to escape of mine for years it works so well from scarf hold or this regular side control. It’s really easy to hit if you can creat the space using your frame.

I learned to do this as a kid to get bigger opponents off of me as I didn’t have enough strength to overpower them by hip escaping and bridging. So being flexible and long I could at least pull this technique off.

Some will call it a dick move I would only call it that if you squeeze the head. It is a totally legit escape that works great if you are flexible and linky

In this video, we are going to look at an underutilised footlock in Jiu-Jitsu. It’s not only underutilised but also underappreciated. And I think this provides some opportunities. Cradle Attack Series – One Arm Anaconda!

Now for part 3 of my cradle attack series and I have saved one of my favourites until the last. This is a really neat little submission and I found it difficult to find the origin of the name. It’s kinda like a one arm Anaconda. But with a squish at the end? Anyway, whatever it’s called, it works. And I really enjoy this. Back Step Half Guard Pass!

This move, I ensure my white belts really understand and have an ability to apply during rolling before they move to blue. Being captured in half-guard is, of course, common and people develop multiple techniques for handling and still passing that great half guard player. But in my experience, when those techniques are struggling, then the back-step half guard pass comes into its own. This is a very effective and simple pass. And if you are a half-guard player. 4 Awesome Attacks From Shin To Shin

Shin to shin is a really cool guard and I think it has become increasingly necessary as many grapplers are incredibly proficient at placing one leg between yours and then sliding their knee through in a knee through pass. This might happen on say, 70% of the time. So, it’s a good idea to think about a way to prevent this. One such way is to place your shin against theirs. In this video, I discuss how to take this shin to shin position and move into an attacking position. It’s a lot easier than it looks. There is reward with careful viewing guys.
