The Easiest BJJ triangle setup ever (rob promoted?!)

In my opinion this is one of the easiest triangle setups to hit live rolling. You just need to make the person post a hand on the mat and you’re set.

This has been one of my most used setups in my jiu-jitsu career I love it. I started doing it as a blue belt and perfected it since then.

You can hit this from guard or knee shield and you can use the concept from almost anywhere.

Most people will say no the push pull triangle is the easiest! I could agree with that as well because it is simple and easy. But once you get the simple movements down on this triangle you will beat everyone with it.

Huge congratulations to rob he has been training 9 Years all together including judo, army combatives, jiujitsu, wrestling.

He is more than deserving of his purple belt. Rob came into our gym about a year ago and we became really good friends. I am happy to promote him to his purple belt!

Finish That Ankle Lock!

I like to teach straight ankle locks to my white belt students. I think getting a good understanding of this part of the game early on in your Jiu-Jitsu career puts you in great shape as you progress through your game. However, many white belt students give up on Ankle locks early because they can’t seem to finish them. And the blame is placed on the Anklelock, or ‘it just doesn’t work for me’…but the reality is, the weakness is in the execution, not the technique. In this video, I give some tips on how to significantly improve the quality of your Ankle locks so that you can get that tap – every time. Give this a try on the mat guys and let me know how you go…

Anthony Armand “Tony” Ferguson (born 12 February 1984) is an American professional mixed martial artist competing in the lightweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

A professional competitor since 2008, Ferguson was the winner of The Ultimate Fighter 13. In 2017, Ferguson defeated Kevin Lee (from his back) to become the interim UFC Lightweight Champion.
