Chris Wojcik is a top-four finisher in the under 88kg division at ADCC 2024 and the finalist of PGF World Season 7, along with being the brains behind The Grappler’s Diary. Chris currently trains at B-Team Jiu-Jitsu and is preparing for an upcoming appearance at EBI 22: The Welterweights.
Jits Magazine spoke to Chris about his journey up to ADCC 2024 and his performance at the event, along with the changes he’s going to make ahead of a return at ADCC 2026. We also spoke about his preparation for EBI 22, his advice for competition, and what his plans are for 2025 and beyond.

Today we’ve got a question from Chew Crew subscriber, Andrew, who asked the question
“How long should a Blue Belt work on a particular technique or position (for example Butterfly guard/armbars/etc.)? Do you work on these things until you are at a Black Belt Level?”
This is a good question for BJJ Blue Belts, and I will give you a few ideas that I use to this day.
You can use them at Blue Belt, but you can definitely use these ideas from White-Black Belt too.
