The Benefits of Chiropractic Care for Jiu-Jitsu Practitioners
Jiu-Jitsu is a physically demanding sport that requires mobility, flexibility, and overall body resilience. To stay at my best, I make chiropractic care a key part of my routine. Here are three benefits of incorporating chiropractic services into your training regimen:
Injury Prevention & Recovery – Jiu-Jitsu places constant stress on the body. Regular chiropractic adjustments help maintain proper alignment, reducing the risk of injuries and speeding up recovery after tough training sessions.
Improved Mobility & Flexibility – Spinal and joint adjustments help keep the body moving optimally, allowing for better flexibility and fluidity in your techniques.
Pain Management & Longevity – Whether it’s nagging back pain, tight shoulders, or joint discomfort, chiropractic care helps manage pain naturally, keeping you on the mats for the long run.
Personally, I see Dr. Eric Bruere of @azspinediscandsport AZ Spine Disc & Sport in Chandler, Arizona. They offer chiropractic care, sports medicine, and drug-free pain management to help athletes stay at peak performance. If you’re looking to improve your health and recovery, I highly recommend checking them out!

This sweep can be the basis of offense from the kneeshield half guard. When done right, it will produce a reliable reaction. They will either base or fall, and both outcomes can lead to your offense.
In this video, you will learn more details about how to make the sweep easier to perform.
And there’s also a short review of how I set up loop chokes using the sweep.
Enjoy, and comment if you have questions.
