This is a variation on the classic Okuri Eri Jime (sliding collar squeeze) that is so powerful I accidentally choked one of my friends unconscious with it at a seminar I taught recently.

I wanted to show you some of the footage so you could see for yourself just how quickly it can put someone out – note that I wasn’t using any power at all.

When it comes to finishing the triangle, there are several potential responses you can expect and as you build up more responses for each of them, your choke finish rate will skyrocket.

One of the things I enjoy the most is finding ways to punish opponents for their logical responses to threats. In those moments when they think they’ve successfully defending an attack, there are opportunities, and these two are ones that I use when they base out to stop the far leg kneetap in underhook half guard.

A multitude of fundamental escapes from mount position in BJJ as instructed by Gary Christie, BJJ Black belt, former Pro MMA Fighter and renowned instructor at The Griphouse Gym in Glasgow, make this a must watch video filmed for the Warrior Collective.
