Today we’ve got a question from “Bob” who says he used to train BJJ in the United States, however he’s currently training overseas.
He says his current gym is great, the training partners are great, the coach is great, the training is great, and so on…
The only problem Bob has with his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach is that they only promote based off of competition experience.
He says he’s not used to this and isn’t sure what to do since he personally does not like to compete in Jiu-Jitsu tournaments.
He’s worried that he could be stuck at his current belt level for years just because he doesn’t compete and isn’t sure what to do.
He sends me the message and wonders what I think about the situation.
