The IBJJF Austin Open took place on September 19, 2020 and was the federation’s first jiu-jitsu event since prior to the suspension of the IBJJF season in March. Competitors were thrilled to be able to compete once again, the event sold out and reached capacity soon after being announced as the community were excited to return to action. The jiu-jitsu was firing on the blue and yellow mats, with big names, up-and-coming stars, and even an IBJJF Hall of Famer entering the tournament.
