My favorite technique combo from knee on belly: attack the cross choke, and if they defend, deadlift back take. If they read and resist the back take, go back to the cross choke, which is tighter from them fighting the back take.

The Kimura Trap is a powerful use of the Kimura armlock (double wrist lock) that virtually turns this submission into a position…then submission. It can be attacked from a variety of positions and in transition, and is difficult to shut down once it is applied. This video covers some effective uses for it. Hope you like it.

This is a way more comprehensive guide to kesa gatame, or scarf hold, than I’ve ever put out. I’ve been looking back at some videos I’ve done in the past, and seeing how I can improve upon them, and this was one that I really wanted to tackle.
