Submissions are potentially the best way to control and subdue someone, whether it’s grappling competition, MMA or a street fight. However, there are ways to apply submissions that may be good for certain contexts, which could be very dangerous if you apply them the same way in a fight with no rules. This video is a discussion and demonstration of how to practice submissions with slight modifications to make them safer and more effective for street fight / self defense conditions. Hope you find this helpful.
Huge thanks to David Heineman @staysafemartialarts and Mike Cheney @boomboomcheney for being part of this discussion and video. Amazing guys you should be following.
