Meet the Instructors:
Professor Andre Galvao
Prof. Galvão is a jiu-jitsu legend and multiple-time world champion who heads the Atos team in San Diego, CA. Galvão moved to San Diego, CA to open his academy and further grow the Atos team, which now has affiliates around the world. In addition to coaching some of the top athletes in the sport of jiu-jitsu, Prof. Galvão conducts seminars in various countries worldwide, spreading his techniques, philosophies, and the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu lifestyle. In addition to being the founder and head coach of Atos HQ, he is also a husband, father, missionary, and President of the Atos Jiu-Jitsu Association.
Peter Iacavazzi
Peter Iacavazzi began his military combatives career in 1999 when he began working with the Naval Special Warfare Development Group in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Over the past 20 years, Peter has presented his Special Operations Combatives program, “5X5 Mission Ready”, to military personnel at Fort Benning, Georgia, Fort Hood, Texas, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, Fort Belvoir, Virginia, at the United States Pentagon and the United States Military Academy West Point. Peter has adapted his 5×5 Mission Ready program to adhere to the Rules of Engagement and Standard Operating Procedures for all federal, state, and local law enforcement, and has taught it to DEA agents in Salt Lake City, Utah and to state and local law enforcement officers throughout the United States.
