My friend and firearms coach @buliwyf_actual let me borrow a spare @safarilandgroup belt and holster so I could test it a little before work.
I did 3 sets of the following: 10 #pullups hanging from grip & holster, 10 pull-ups hanging from the grip, 10 seconds of pulling on the grip/holster with some momentum, and 10 seconds of hanging from just the grip. Total time under tension about 1 minute 20 seconds. This is the 6th time I have done this sequence, so the total time under tension (155lbs / 70.3kgs) is about 8 minutes.
I used a Safariland belt, a Safariland 6360RDS ALS/SLS holster, Safariland UBL mid-ride, and a QLS fork and receiver. Also installed was a 2nd generation Negative Cant Plate (NCP2) by @the_theory_police / @blackboxcustoms_ and it was all held together by Safariland OEM factory bolts.
I did some draws afterwards and everything appeared to be intact from the belt buckle to the retentions and the NCP2. The cumulative effect will probably break something eventually, but it is reassuring to know the various parts were able to handle what I did so far. 🙏🏽🥋🤙🏽 #police #weaponretention #jiujitsu #grip #fitness #trainweeklyorfightweakly #graciesurvivaltactics #selfdefense #oahugrown #aiea
