I got the chance to spend some time in sunny Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, doing commentary for not one, but TWO amazing Jiu Jitsu events! Both of them were featured on UFC Fight Pass, and I gotta say, it was such a thrill to be a part of them. The first event was Medusa, an all-female tournament that showcased some serious talent, and the second was CJJ Worlds (Combat Jiu Jitsu Worlds) – an intense, action-packed event with fighters giving their all on the mats. She finished in 2nd place, and man, did she put on a show! It’s always rewarding to see my students succeed and demonstrate their skills on the world stage.
You know, I’m just feeling incredibly grateful right now. I’m so lucky to be able to travel the world, commentate on jiu jitsu events, and work in an industry that I’m truly passionate about. It’s pretty much a dream come true! And speaking of dreams, can we talk about the insane growth of jiu jitsu in the last few years? It’s seriously mind-blowing how far the sport has come, and I’m just stoked to be a part of it all.
