I’ve always known the important of triple extension work, through exercises like cleans. Although while reading through the book “The System: Soviet Periodization Adapted for the American Strength Coach” I’m completely reshaping how I will be emphasising cleans, and other triple extension (simultaneous extension through the ankle, knee and hip) work, into clients programming and my own programming.

More to come, but for now, my take away would be; if a large % of your strength & conditioning is not focused on triple extension (or working towards it) you’re missing out on developing strength and power in one of the most important athletic movements in almost any sport.
