#jiujitsu is extremely applicable to #lawenforcement because of the amount of control you can exert over someone, the scalability of force in response to another person’s actions, and the ability to practice and inoculate stress in training with whatever intensity you are comfortable with. Submissions are amazing ways to end a confrontation and the ability to transition from a submission to a position of handcuffing is valuable to us. Huge mahalo to Sampson and Justin for allowing me to get some repetitions in handcuffing transitions with the uniform, which greatly limits your ability to move on the ground.
