#training in uniform at least a few times is good to experience. The vest and belt greatly reduce torso flexion, and the soles of your boots get caught on loose clothing. Retentions for various tools (taser, mag pouches, radio) may get inadvertently released and belt keepers are absolutely necessary. I like to keep the back of my belt clear because having stuff positioned there hurts if you get stuck on your back underneath someone.
