Just because you’re going for a submission doesn’t mean that you need to let go of your opponent and potentially give up on a good position if the attack fails. In this video Rob Biernacki and I go over the steps to maintaining total control over your opponent all the way through a position, using the example of an S Mount Armbar from Mount and a Heel Hook Attack from the 411 position to illustrate the principles we’re talking about.
