I recently got asked what are some of the best ways to break the grip after you’ve got the Kimura.
So in this video I break down 3 of my best options for breaking the opponent’s grip when you’re going for a Kimura in BJJ.
I talk 1st about where the grip is strongest and where to move in relation to the grips. This is important to understand the BJJ technique.
Then afterwards I talk about how to work to break the grips.
The kimura has been one of my goto submissions in Brazilian Jiujitsu since early on.
So I’ve toyed around with lots of different options since I was a White Belt in BJJ.
If you’re having issues finishing the Kimura because of your opponent’s grip then I hope this video is helpful to you!
