If (and it's a big "if") Gordon has retired, it's a real shame. However, thinking about it, I genuinely don't know where else he can go in the sport. He's beaten the best (though a re-rematch with Pena is still on his list I'm sure) and won all the top comps in all formats with ease. He's so dominant that he's even resorted to experimental matches versus wrestlers to spice things up.
I don't think he'll do MMA either. The Pro MMA life is even harder than the jiu jitsu life (so Danaher says), so if he's tired of killing himself training jitz then it's unlikely he'll be motivated to train MMA. Not at this point anyway. As others say, he might see the world, get bored and want to come back.

i dont see what else there is for him to do in bjj. he should definitely give MMA a shot. if it doesnt work out he can always go back to grappling.
