As a struggling grappler and a much lighter guy…when I come up against guys that have a little bit too much strength it wouldn’t be uncommon to find myself getting ‘side mounted’ But I started working on an escape that I started calling the ‘sneaky eye’ and it works fantastic. Even when my training partners know I am going to use it…I still manage to get the technique done and turn a bad position in where I am being dominated…into a position where I am in control. A lot of the guys at the club have been using this to great effect as well…I would love to know if you guys have used something similar? if not, give it a go on the mat and let me know how you go…
