?FUNDAMENTALS – SHOULDER ROLL
Continuing our series on fundamental movements for BJJ, today we look at the shoulder roll. This roll is super common, particularly (although not exclusively) in inversions. When starting this roll, make sure to drop near your thigh, not directly sideways relative to your torso. Also, it can be useful (although not required) to try and keep your toes on the mat or as close as possible throughout the roll in order to help get the positioning right.
