I've experienced first hand that the presence of cops doesn't necessarily prevent attacks. I was at a street parade and had to cross the street, which was used by the parade and was guarded by multiple cops. The cop signaled that we can cross the street now before the next group marches and I tried to get through the lines of the spectators. However, in the front line there were some that didn't even flinch their ear. I tried it in the local language, English and French and then simply squeezed myself past them. I suddenly heard one of them yelling in the local language and noticed him stepping after me. I basically made a lunge to be at the same line as the cop and felt a punch landing on my shoulderblade. It didn't even bruise me because I was moving away from him and was wearing thick clothing. However, that guy (in his 60s and significantly smaller than me!) had aimed at my spine and he would have hit it with full force, if I hadn't moved fast. I hopped behind the cop and squeezed myself past the rows of spectators from the other side and still noticed that he tried to go after me, but the cop was holding him back…
I honestly, have no bloody idea, why he ignored me first and then attacked me for something he provoked. My best guess is that he didn't like my accent and thus pretended not to hear me in the first place.

I was in the ER and some creep punched one of those little windows just behind me. He bled allover and ran off. I was in a wheelchair very sick.

My sister has been in the hospital for like a month. every guard in the Hospital is over 60. I don't feel safe at all. and theres signs at each entry point that SAY. NO Firearms Allowed. sigh
