Doing a conventional standing morote-seoi-nage can be quite challenging because it is hard to bring your lapel hand across. Taking a sleeve-lapel cross grip will make it that much easier for you to get the arms in place for the seoi-nage. As for the legs, doing a split hip entry will allow you to get deeply underneath uke. The cross grip combined with the split hip entry makes this a very powerful throw.
