Do you have a triangle escape? Check this out TRIANGLE ESCAPE
This escape is one of my most high-percentage escapes from any submission. By closing the gable grip and pulling the trapped arm towards my own ribs, I make it hard for my opponent to swivel to the 90 degree angle he needs to really sink the triangle in deeply, and also alleviate some of the choking pressure. I can’t stress enough how important it is to get the knee on the floating ribs – it’s very uncomfortable for the person below, and makes it impossible to resist the posturing motion that comes immediately after. I’ve seen other players use this escape without that detail, and while it can still work, it’s dramatically less effective.
