Shout out to 10th planet boulder/Drew for kicking me out of your gym for being a leglocker who wrecked a purple belt with a heel hook as a 10th planet white belt, the guy did not wanna tap like a stubborn student but I let the hold go like a gentleman so the next day he reems me in class along with coach drew backing this guy up that I shouldn't be attacking leglocks if I've never trained leglocks this guy couldn't understand when I told him I've been working on heel hooks since I saw genki sudo put one on butterbean in pride.Look man I've dealt with this at your typical bjj school they tell you leglocks are dangerous when your a new student in a new gym it doesn't matter if you have a decade of experience under tutelage of multiple mma practitioners like myself but whatever. I remember back when I was there Drew making it a point that he dislikes mma practitioners cause they are "dangerous" on the mats!!!??? That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Craig Jones and Gordon Ryan are tied for best grapplers in the sport in my opinion. They are polar opposites but they are both wonderful for the sport. Respect to both of them for working so hard every single day.
Gordon Ryan is the best in the world right now. Ryan beat jones in the last year or so. And he has had about 10 matches since that bout so he has been more active than jones also
Huge difference between doing a leg lock and taking a few slaps or doing a leg lock and taking a huge punch. All it takes is one punch to knock you silly or out.
