🍝🤓🔑🔒MIKEY LOCK MATCH 2 // hey guys here is me doing the Mikey lock in my second match. Something I want you to notice is how I change sides from K guard when my opponent makes His front hip heavy I go on my forehead in order to change sides like a face Bolo. This match my finishing leg configuration was in the inside sankaku honey hole. Notice how I am able to expose the foot from K guard before getting to the submission I think this is why the Mikey Lock is so effective the heel is already next to my neck so I don’t have to bring the heel down to my armpit. It’s been so much fun making the answers to all these reactions! Good training everyone 🙏🏻❤️.

Upper body/lower body combinations. Here, you see me start on the underhook side with a top side body triangle. I attempt to use a hand assist to unravel the triangle but it proves difficult. I decide to convert to the overhook side instead to start working from overhook side with a top side triangle (he switched the triangle). Once switching sides, I use a combination of upper and lower body escaping (elbow cuts and hand assists) to both unravel the triangle and wedge my elbow between myself and him, effectively escaping the back and forcing mount. @flograppling

Remember, any technique executed must be set up. This is a beautiful example of level changing before the actual shot to keep her opponent guessing. This concept remains the same across all combat. Angles, feints, and deceptive movement before the desired technique.

A shout out to her opponent @kate_eagle. I had the pleasure reffing her 2 weeks before in the ADCC trials and she is as tough as nails.
