Have you ever been on the mats for BJJ training and had the new man or woman give you more of a go than you expected?
Maybe they were super athletic or had a grappling background outside of BJJ.
Has this ever happened to you?
If not, give it time! I’ve had this happen to me in BJJ numerous times and it’s the focus of today’s Brazilian Jiu-jitsu question.
Basically our friend Colin has been training BJJ for 7 years. Off and on a bit, but for the most part 7 years. And recently this Wrestler came into his BJJ gym and beat him after only a couple of days of training.
He didn’t expect to have some new guy on the mats beat him when they rolled.
He’s pretty frustrated and wondering what to do.
In this video I share some of the tips I’ve gathered from rolling with people in this very situation.
If you ever encounter a similar situation in Brazilian Jiujitsu. Then I hope the video is useful.
Talk to you next time!
