People tend to over think takedowns. As essential as they are to having a well-rounded game they don’t have to be that complicated. Here is a little bit of old school judo that anyone can do! People tend to shy away from judo because of fear. I understand that the floor can seem very far away and turning your back against a resisting opponent can seem impossible. At the same time, there are a wide array of techniques that don’t require a significant impact to the floor or require you to turn your back to your opponent. If you want to be a well-rounded grappler learn how to do judo, wrestling, sambo, jiu-jitsu and any other sport you can gather information up from.
