In this video we show both the Peruvian Neck tie with a No-Gi (with several options) and Gi version (AKA “gerbi Choke”) in one video! I love both of these chokes as they reign terror on your partner lol. Be careful going into it as you don’t want to crank on your partners neck. Pay close attention on how I set up the no-gi hand grip. I call it a “no gi pistol grip”… My hand forms the pistol position with me securing two fingers. This is a really tight grip that allows you more length / and play in the choke. In the Gi version we show several variations on the lapel pass. The main rule is that it must travel from the side on the neck to the armpit to choke them (it works like a “sling”). You can travel the lapel from armpit to the neck and the other direction as well. Play with these chokes… they’re equally awesome! Happy choking!
