GTA!!? Don’t get your Truck stolen! Prevent the hip escape, know your footwork, stretch them, calf crank them and get it all from the FISHNET!! Annual Camp, Aug 2019
Dear beginner, you’re not a spazzing… you’re just a novice. Control will come in time… good technique will also come in time. Stay the course!
I’ve been Truckin’, Twisterin’ and Splittin’ since the 90’s! It’s not just a tricky game. It’s my bread and butter. Like everything in jiujitsu… it’s worse when the sub is belly down! Here’s my take on breaking the hips instead of checking flexibility
I’ve been doing the Twister since the 90’s. This is a great path for the fundamentals and any rank can catch on easily. This video is from my 2019 Annual Camp in Texas and I show the regular version and DEFCON 4. There’s 3 parts to it! Watch em all
Tired of your opponents pulling guard and being stuck in a web of techniques?
Try out these two very simple but effective ways to shut them down and gain the upper hand.
P.S. if they pull with the opposite side you can still hit the second technique!

The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both.

In this video (it’s raw footage from a recent class) I demonstrate a nice way to set up a reverse triangle choke. This is a position I’ve been playing with and trying to develop…It’s an interesting way of controlling guard and preventing them from passing. I also like it for MMA as it’s very difficult to get hit. Interesting position that may be worth exploring. Enjoy and happy explorations!
As I always say, “Now go and continue molding the clay!” What does that mean? When I present material I ask you now to go and drill it and see what you find… see how WE can advance / evolve the technique. Not criticize or figure out how it won’t work while we sit at our computers and devices. But to go and actually put the work in and get to the “heart” of it… to tinker and engineer / reverse engineer… to see how it fits into your reality. Happy drilling and happy tinkering!
