The Mendes brothers discuss their approach to teaching seminars, particularly their practice of rolling with every participant multiple times. They explain that while students come to learn techniques, they’re also eager to feel what it’s like to roll with world-class competitors. The brothers embrace this challenge, seeing it as an opportunity to test themselves against different games and styles they don’t regularly encounter in their usual training. They mention that this tradition was partly inspired by their teacher Ramon Lemos, who would do something similar on his birthday, rolling with everyone. Their willingness to engage with every student, regardless of belt level or experience, has become a signature aspect of their seminars that students particularly appreciate.#JiuJitsuSeminar #MartialArts #BrazilianJiuJitsu #BJJExperience #TrainingTogether #RollingSessions #IncredibleTechniques #BJJCommunity #JiuJitsuLife #SeminarHighlights
In this video, Marcelo Garcia reveals his strategic approach to developing his signature techniques. He explains that his mastery of moves like the guillotine and back attacks came from recognizing where opponents commonly make mistakes and give opportunities. Garcia emphasizes his philosophy of simplification – choosing techniques that are both accessible and target an opponent’s weaknesses. He gives specific examples, explaining why he prefers direct neck attacks over arm triangles, as it allows him to focus all his strength on the neck rather than dealing with additional barriers like the shoulder and forearm. Similarly, he avoids foot locks, preferring positions where he can apply his strength against an opponent’s weaker areas rather than engaging in contests of strength against stronger body parts.#JiuJitsu #BJJTraining #MartialArts #SubmissionTechniques #SelfDefense #BJJForAll #JiuJitsuSimplified #CombatSports #TrainingTips #LeverageYourStrengths

In this video, Tatiana Garcia provides intimate insights into what makes her husband Marcelo Garcia so successful in Jiu-Jitsu. She describes him as incredibly determined and stubborn – qualities that serve him well in sports. When Marcelo focuses on a new technique, he’ll work tirelessly to perfect it, identifying and fixing every flaw until he masters it. At the same time, he’s pragmatic enough to abandon techniques that don’t prove effective. She emphasizes his complete dedication to the art, noting how he sacrifices normal social activities like drinking and partying to maintain his focus and set an example for his students. Tatiana reveals that Marcelo is constantly thinking about Jiu-Jitsu, even at home, dispelling the notion that he’s simply naturally talented. Instead, she insists that his success comes from his extraordinary work ethic, describing it as “the biggest secret of Marcelo.”#MarceloGarcia #JiuJitsu #MartialArts #Dedication #HardWork #SuccessMindset #TechniqueMastery #TrainingSpirit #Inspiration #BJJ
Rener and Ryron were invited to present the SafeWrap system at the 2025 APPA (American Probation and Parole Association). To start they called two volunteers officers out of the crowd to arrest Rener and after that, Rener and Ryron demonstrated how the SafeWrap system can be used to achieve the goal in less time and with lower risk of injury.
After the presentation, audience members were given a chance to experience the SafeWrap system first hand. Not a single person escaped, everyone got handcuffed, no one got injured.
SafeWrap is a proprietary system of 2-on-1 restraint that requires a license for institutional use in order to ensure licensed organizations provide certain minimum annual training to end-users.
SafeWrap instructor certification can be achieved in any GST Level 2 instructor course or in the standalone 2-day SafeWrap instructor course. Learn more at http://www.SafeWrapSystem.com
In this video, Geo Martinez explains why he chose to train at a Tenth Planet Jiu-Jitsu school in San Diego instead of with other prominent BJJ figures in the area. He draws a parallel to his background in breakdancing, where his crew called “The Freak Show” was known for being unconventional and focused on spectacular moves (“blowups”) rather than traditional fundamentals. This non-traditional mindset naturally drew him to Eddie Bravo’s approach to jiu-jitsu. Martinez was particularly attracted to Eddie Bravo and Joe Rogan’s mentality, and upon learning more about Eddie’s system, he was impressed by the depth and complexity of Bravo’s innovative approach to the art. #BJJJourney #TenthPlanet #Breakdancing #MartialArts #UnconventionalTraining #JiuJitsu #FightCulture #BJJCommunity #TrainingJourney
