It is okay to open up our guard and go straight to open guard BUT! Here are some options I like to try before we get to that point.
Let me know in the comment section if this helps you all out.

What do you do when someone pulls guard on you? The key is to always move to the side of your opponent when you’re on top. Do not stop between your opponent’s legs (you only do it when you’re using stack pass), other than that you must work on passing the guard right away. Use your free arm to tap on the knee of your opponent. It doesn’t matter which leg he will get first on your hip, just tap the leg with your free arm and move to the side using the “toreando” pass or the knee cut pass. You will always pass to the side of your free arm in this case. But you can also learn on how to pass to the other side as well at #AtosOnline. We have over 3,200 video classes with most of those classes with at least 2-3 variations from each technique. 3 Day FREE Trial . Have fun!!! Working with my assistant Prof @rolando_samson
Well this officially ends the “Jiu Jitsu doesn’t work on the streets” theory. ?? #suitworm

The #lapelguard #berimbolo works in these streets! … or at least our #streetclothesbjj classes at #bellinghambjj. Every 5th Friday of a month that has a fifth Friday, we roll in suits and sweater vests and flannel shirts and whatever else. It’s a great time, and helps your #bjjtechnique while also showing that every article of clothing, even a fancy one, can be used in #grappling. I love #berimbolos to #sidecontrol and mount as well as to the traditional back attack. The #lapelencyclopedia works even if your partner isn’t wearing a ?, @keenancornelius!
