@andrisbrunosvskis and I delve into some gym etiquette. In my latest YouTube video, we go over 15 things (in no particular order) that we believe every jiu jitsu beginner should know.⠀

The first one is most commonly seen in white belt on white belt violence, and it’s trying to free yourself from the closed guard by digging your elbows into your opponent’s thighs.⠀
There are a fews ways to effectively break open the closed guard, but this just isn’t one of them.⠀

Depending on your opponent’s speed and or strength, you may not be able to break their grips before they connect their shoulder to your shoulder and ultimately pin you to the ground, securing the guard pass.⠀
